I’ve been in my apartment for about two months now, and I am still trying to figure things out. But I am loving that it is all mine. I picked the colors on the walls. I picked all of the food in the fridge (all gluten-free!). The mess is all mine.
The one thing I haven’t done? Decorate! I am finding it hard to find things that I want filling in my apartment. One minute, I see something and immediately want it. The next? I don’t know if I feel like living with it for the next year.
Working with luxury home accessories, it is sometimes hard to remove myself from the “$500 for a teapot is nothing!” feeling. (I mean, I can’t afford that, even though I would LOVE to!). Here are my picks for my apartment. Some are dreams…some might be reality.
Love Replica in Silver from ABC Home
Hermes Bleus D’Ailleurs Coffeepot from Michael C. Fina
Ampersand Pillow from Etsy
Vintage Birdcage Chandelier X-Small from Restoration Hardware
After almost two years, I am back. I am making a promise to myself to write more.
I have changed positions at my job (allowing me slightly more time).
I have moved out of my childhood home into an apartment by myself.
I have found myself an absolutely wonderful boyfriend.
I still have amazing family and friends.
I am figuring out my life, and I am happy.
Wishing my “little” brother a very happy college graduation! Smarty pants is graduating cum laude…and even though I just graduated last year, it is making me feel old.
Welcome to the real world, C! Congratulations and good luck!
Me and the brother at my graduation last year.
Does anyone else think that this is one of the best ideas ever?
Someone decided to divide a part of Fifth Avenue into two lanes. Too bad it wasn’t the part of Fifth Avenue I walk up and down every day.
I want to be this girl. I have the outfit, I have the bike. I am just terrified to ride it in the city.

A lemony fresh wedding!
Say, “I Love You,” in a new way…

Because I have issues with hand-holding.
A blog dedicated to the author’s love of Pride and Prejudice (basically the best love story ever!).
A chance for your love story to be featured in windows on Fifth Avenue.
I normally don’t like country music at all, but I am kind of loving this song….
Thank you for your birthday wishes!
I truly have such an amazing group of people in my life…I could not wish for anything more!
My sister got information at school today for her prom. She is a junior at my Alma Mater, an all-girls’ Catholic private school, so I know exactly what this means.
Prom + an all-girls’ school = Sadie Hawkins Dance. Oy.
As a 17-year-old girl without a boyfriend, this can cause much anxiety. Who has a friend I can go with? Does he have any friends? Which of my guy friends is least annoying? Who looks good in a tux? Do I even know any guys that I would consider taking to prom? These questions, along with many others, run through your brain until that date is found. Until then, you endure awkward group dates, awkward setups, and awkwardly asking boys out via AIM or text message.
So, here is to my sister and all the other 17-year-old girls out there who have to ask a boy to prom…Good luck, have fun, and make lasting memories! And just remember…you will have to do it all again next year!
(I’m just excited to help her pick out dresses!)
