In honor of Fleet Week in NYC, let’s get a little nautical.
While I saw many sailors walking around the city this week, I feel like Fleet Week didn’t live up to the hype for me. Not too many cute ones!
There is always next year!

Also, this weekend, take the time to remember what Memorial Day is really all about.
Hope you all have fun!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I was busy…with GRADUATION!

I am now a college graduate. I have a degree in Professional Writing-Journalism and am looking forward to the summer!

Good luck to all other graduates!

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is this weekend! Here are some cute ideas!

My mom has TONS and TONS of pictures…some of them are organized, but the majority of them are not. This photo library would help get some more of them organized, and the albums also become instant decorations!

While these are called coffee cups, my mom and I would use them for tea. We always drink tea together when I am home. I just love the bright colors!
Rainbow Coffeehouse Set – Urban Outfitters

My mom is ALWAYS borrowing my jewelry when I come home. Here are some things that I could get for her (and then borrow!).

What were you thinking?

These are the outfits that I disliked at the Met Costume Gala…many more of those!

Apparently, Tyra Banks was hungry because she attached a Cinnabon to the top of her head. Was she saving it for later?

Leighton Meester, Blair would be unhappy. So would the entire Upper East Side.

Oh, Madonna. Perez compared her to the creepy bunny in Donnie Darko. I have nothing else to say.

Mary-Kate’s Christian Lacroix looks like something straight out of the Corpse Bride.

What is with the matching turban, Kate Moss?

I am going to do it. I am going to call out Anna Wintour. I do not like this dress. She could have done so much better. Maybe if it didn’t have sleeves? I just hope I am not hunted down after I post this. I am going to pass the Conde Nast building every day this summer…I may have to find another route to work.

Anne Hathaway, I love you, but I am not loving your look. The dress is too much 80s prom, while the hair is too much June Carter Cash. Pick one. If you had gone full on 80s, I probably would have loved it, because the dress is not too bad.

Kirsten Dunst…why are you even here? What have you done in the past five years? And…your dress is ugly.

Costume Gala

Here are some of the looks I love! All are from the Met’s Costume Institute Gala, “Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion.”

First up, Blake Lively in Versace! Love this color on her! Really brings out her eyes and I like how she kept her hair simple.

Eva Mendes in Calvin Klein – simple, but pretty. Good job!

Ashley Olsen designed her own gown…it may be a little much for her, but compared to her sister, she looks amazing. It is also the best I’ve seen on her in awhile.

Jessica Biel, stepping it up! It could just be because she is actually smiling for once, but she does look good!

Heidi Klum always looks amazing! If someone else were to wear this much material, it would probably look ridiculous. I wish everyone could look this great while pregnant with their fourth child.
